Programs
Foster Care
Our foster care program recruits, trains, licenses, and supports families who are willing to open their hearts and homes to children in need. From the first inquiry through the licensing process and beyond, our team provides ongoing guidance, education, and support so foster families always have someone to turn to. Because every child is unique, our foster families receive training to care for children who have experienced trauma, behavioral health challenges, and complex life circumstances. Many of our families also have experience caring for children with significant medical needs, developmental disabilities, and other specialized care needs.
Adoption
The primary goal of foster care is reunification; however, for many children who are unable to be reunified, foster care is one step toward finding a permanent family. Our adoption program helps prepare both children and families for that next chapter. Our adoption program works one-on-one with children to help them understand their life story, process difficult experiences, recognize their strengths, and build confidence in who they are. Through personalized activities and written materials children are encouraged to reflect on their journey, celebrate their resilience, and look toward the future with hope. Families pursuing adoption also receive personalized guidance throughout every step of the process. We provide education, training, home study services, and ongoing support to help families feel prepared, informed, and confident as they welcome a child into their home and build a lifelong family.

HOUSING
Children live in a home environment.
Twin Pines conducts an initial then annual safety inspection of the home.
RECREATION
Twin Pines provides opportunities for children to explore their interests and participate in recreational activities of their choice.
SERVICE PLANNING
A written service plan is developed with input from the child, the child’s family of origin, the Twin Pines foster family and Service Coordinator.
PERSONAL ASSISTANCE
Healthcare, including medication, management, nutrition, self-care and hygiene, housekeeping skills, money management skills, interpersonal relationship skills, education/vocation, time management, and use of community resources.
